A note to start
A video, a goal, and the real cost of AI
Most people treat AI like a vending machine: request in, answer out, walk away. The people getting the most from it treat it like a thought partner. Same tool, completely different results.
You're getting this because you're one of a few things to me, and probably more than one: a friend, a leader other people watch, or a known ally and accomplice in making AI actually useful here. This isn't a broadcast. It's a note to the people already leaning in.
Three things worth your week: who's building, what changed, and one thing to try. Here they are.

01 · Watch
AI as a thought partner
A new series of short tutorial videos, small and specific, made to watch on a coffee break. Start with this one. It's the shift underneath everything else: not "write this for me," but "think through this with me."
Once that clicks, every other tool gets easier, because you stop asking it to be right and start asking it to be useful.

02 · Steal
Four AI goals you can put on your review form
It's goal season, and the AI line is where most people freeze. So I wrote four you can take outright, with objective lines ready to paste straight into your form. One is a week spent pulling AI out of your work to map where it actually earns its keep. Another is building one thing that changes a single Tuesday. Pick one, pick all four, remix them. They're yours now.

03 · Show up
AI & Sustainability: the real cost, beyond the subscription
Here's a number that surprised me. Last year our everyday AI use came to roughly 1,000 kg of CO2, 2,600 kilowatt hours, and 25,000 liters of water. Put another way: about 13 Eames lounges produced, or a drive from Michigan to LA. We can measure Copilot fairly well. The agents are the part we can't see yet, and they may be the biggest multiplier of all. I'm walking the North American Sustainability BRG through all of it, including how to skip the vanity AI and put the compute where the value actually holds up. Come with questions. Bring the skeptical ones especially.

One ask
What's one task this week you almost handed to AI, then decided to do yourself?
I want to know what stopped you. Two lines is plenty. The best answers become the next issue.
