A distinct public property for MillerKnoll AI. Separate from toolkit-mkai.com.

Context

When a company ships several AI surfaces, visitors (and associates) collapse them into one blob. The toolkit, the prompt library, the newsletter, and the public AI presence start to look like rebrands of each other. Clarity is part of the product.

What I built

MillerKnollAI.com as its own distinct public property for MillerKnoll AI. Not a rebrand of the toolkit. Not an umbrella site that swallows prompts-mkai.com or the newsletter.

Working distinction used on this portfolio:

  • toolkit-mkai.com is the working enablement system: curriculum, Alphabet, design system, day-to-day learning home.
  • MillerKnollAI.com is the public-facing AI property: a separate front door for the company’s AI story and presence.

If that sentence gets sharper later, the case study updates. The hard rule stays: do not conflate the two.

How it worked

Separate domains. Separate jobs. Card and page copy on this portfolio call out the distinction in plain language so a recruiter scanning Work does not assume one site is a skin on the other.

Outcome

The program can point people to the right surface without a five-minute explanation. The portfolio models that same clarity.

What I’d do next

Lock the one-line public description once positioning is final, then refresh screenshots and meta copy to match. Keep cross-links to the toolkit explicit and labeled as a different property.
